Auto Offset
Altitude sensors usually return a value relative to sea level. If you want the model’s altitude relative to where it took off from an offset needs to be calculated. OpenTX provides a way to do this automatically.
Sensor
- Altitude sensor
Setup
- Turn on Tx
- Press MENU
- Long press PAGE
- Scroll down (-) until you locate “GAlt” or another altitude sensor
- Long press ENT and select Copy
- Scroll down untill you locate the copy “GAlt”
- Press ENT
- Rename the sensor to “GAl2”
- Scroll down to “Auto Offset” and check the box
- EXIT back to the TELEMETRY screen
- Scroll down (-) till you select “—” next to “Altutude” under “Top Bar”
- Long press “ENT”
- Scroll down (-) till you select Telemetry
- Scroll up (+) till you select the altitude sensor you want and press ENT
- EXIT out to the main screen
- Long press ENT
- Select “Reset…”
- Select “Reset Telemetry”
- The “GAl2” sensor will now display zero altitude
