Auto Offset

Altitude sensors usually return a value relative to sea level. If you want the model’s altitude relative to where it took off from an offset needs to be calculated. OpenTX provides a way to do this automatically.

Setup

  1. Turn on Tx

  3. Long press PAGE

  4. Scroll down (-) until you locate “GAlt” or another altitude sensor

  5. Long press ENT and select Copy

  6. Scroll down untill you locate the copy “GAlt”

  7. Press ENT

  8. Rename the sensor to “GAl2”

  9. Scroll down to “Auto Offset” and check the box

  10. EXIT back to the TELEMETRY screen

  11. Scroll down (-) till you select “—” next to “Altutude” under “Top Bar”

  12. Long press “ENT”

  13. Scroll down (-) till you select Telemetry

  14. Scroll up (+) till you select the altitude sensor you want and press ENT
